LOCAL TERTIARY SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATIONS FOR 2026/2027 ACADEMIC YEAR
The Ghana Scholarships Authority wishes to announce for the information of the interested students the opening of the Local Scholarship Portal for the 2026/2027 academic year. The effective opening date for applications is Friday, April 10th, 2026 to Friday May 15th 2026.
PROCEDURE FOR APPLICATION:
Phase 1
ü All applicants are required to visit the scholarship portal (www.apply.scholarships.gov.gh)
ü Applicants must create an account to register
ü Complete the application form and upload academic transcripts, admission letters and academic certificate
Phase 2
ü Take an aptitude test on a scheduled date within the application period
Phase 3
ü Qualified applicants would appear at selected MMDA for the selection interview
REQUIREMENTS
Applicants should
ü be a Ghanaian and Resident in Ghana
ü have gained admission into a Local Tertiary Institution and registered with the school for the programme
ü be offering STEM related courses and Law
ü be in the Public Universities
Applicants are to note that the services provided by the Authority is FREE and that no individual, group or third-party entity has been engaged to assist any applicant.
