2026 Australia Awards Scholarships for African Professionals
The Australian Government is pleased to announce the opening of applications for the 2026 Australia Awards Scholarships, offering fully funded opportunities for eligible African professionals to undertake Master’s-level study at top Australian universities.
Application Period:
Opens: 1 February 2025
Closes: 30 April 2025 (11:59 PM AEST)
Scholarship Benefits Include:
• Full tuition fees
• Return air travel
• Establishment allowance on arrival
• Living expenses
• Introductory Academic Program
• Health insurance for the duration of the scholarship
• Fieldwork support (for applicable programs)
• Additional support for scholars with disabilities
Priority Fields of Study:
• Agriculture and Food Security
• Climate Change
• Foreign Policy and International Security
• Gender, Disability, and Social Inclusion
• Mining and Energy
Eligibility Criteria:
Applicants must:
• Be a minimum of 25 years old by 1 February 2026
• Have at least 5 years of post-graduate work experience in a field relevant to their proposed study
• Be employed at the time of application
• Hold a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
• Not already hold or be studying a Master’s degree
• Meet English language requirements (IELTS 6.5 overall or equivalent)
Women, people with disabilities, and candidates from marginalized groups are strongly encouraged to apply.

Applications must be submitted online through the OASIS portal by 30 April 2025. Late applications will not be considered.
