Government’s Commonwealth Scholarship Scheme led by international
development objectives. Applications are invited from qualified candidates for the
above mentioned awards which are tenable in Universities and Institutions of
higher learning in the United Kingdom. The awards are intended for Ghanaian men
and women of high intellectual promises who will be expected to make significant
contribution to the achievement of the overall development objectives of the
country on their return from their studies.

ELIGIBILITY
The offer is for studies at the Master’s level and full eligibility requirements for

In addition to the above candidates must satisfy the following:
Be Ghanaian citizen resident in Ghana
Applicants must hold a first degree of at least upper second class (2:1) honours standard or
second class degree (2:2)
Applicants must obtain admission from a University in the United Kingdom
Women are particularly encouraged to apply.
SUBJECT AREAS
The scholarships are offered under six development themes and all candidates
must apply under one of these themes:
Science and technology for development
Strengthening health systems and capacity
Promoting global prosperity
Strengthening global peace, security and government
Strengthening resilience and response to crises
Access, inclusion and opportunity
MODE OF APPLICATION
1. Interested candidates with the requisite qualifications are required to apply via the CSC online
application system by uploading all relevant academic documents (certificates/transcripts) and submit
to the Commonwealth Scholarship Commission, UK by Tuesday 17 th October, 2023 at 16:00
(GMT).
2. Applicants should state clearly the propose field of study
3. Medical officers within the public service should obtain formal clearance from the Director of
Manpower, Ministry of Health in support of their applications.
4. Candidates’ serving in Government Department’s or in other Public Service Organizations must route
their applicants through the Head of their Organization.
AGENCY DEADLINE OF SUBMISSION
5. Eligible applicants should submit print out hard copies of the application with relevant
documents stated below and write a formal application letter addressed to the Registrar
of Scholarships with the address below not later than Monday 6 th November, 2023. A
scheduled interview date will be communicated to qualified and eligible shortlisted applicants.
